Mental Health Matters

While growing up how I have heard hundred times the sentence 'boys don't cry'. Hushing a child with these words who is trying to show his emotion. How many times would we have all made fun of our brothers or guy friends for crying or showing their emotions. I have never seen my father cry. I no more see my brothers cry who have grown up into young adults. Maybe we as a society had made our men believe they have to be stoical and strong.

There are so many things socially that contribute to the stigma that “real men don’t cry” that I believe we need to end it now, and then we need to outgrow it. We must teach our children, boys and girls, that it is always okay to cry or express emotions, good or bad.

Mental Health is IMPORTANT.
